I have been a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Smith Engineering, Queen’s University since 2024.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) in 2023, my M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Blumenau (Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil) in 2016, and my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering also at the University of Blumenau, in 2015. My research interests are centred around the fundamentals of bluff body flows, inspired by applications in wind engineering and energy systems. I make complementary use of computational techniques such as large-eddy simulation, and experimental methods with intrusive and non-intrusive techniques to study the fundamentals of the flow around wall-mounted obstacles.

Outside of the laboratory and the classroom, I enjoy baking, strength training, and playing video games with friends.
